"AIN'T NO WAY"

Revelation 3:20  "Behold, I stand at the door and knock.  If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me."

During my morning routine of applying heat to my eyes, as I was mentally asking God what He wants me to write, I heard the words "ain't no way for me to love you, if you won't let me"; and then as I began to write down what I was hearing, I heard "ain't no way for me to give you all you need, if you won't let me give all of me."  I knew I've heard these words before.....it was the lyrics to Aretha Franklin's song!!!  It amazes me ....let me correct that.....God amazes me when He uses things were familiar with or we'd once crossed paths with!  I really never knew a whole lot of lyrics to songs...you know how we make up words!!!  I am good at that!

But, I can see where these words given to me in my spirit was so on point for our life...our walk with God!  He never forces himself on you nor does he beg.  God always makes himself available to us...we just don't take him up on His word.  He definitely loves us even when we feel unlovable!  Or even incapable to love!  We are so hard on ourselves and God is so easy to love, if you just let Him in.  That favorite line we always hear people say "He has unconditional love."  Well, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but His love does have conditions..... You have to be obedient!  You must make every effort to stop your sinning!....Those are conditions; hello?

You know the 10 commandments he gave us whereas He says "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all your heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind."  This is the great and first commandment.  And the second is like unto it, "Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself" (Matt. 22:37-39)  If we could just get these two, then everything else would fall right in line!  It can't help but to follow suit!  You do know God is Love, right???  If this wasn't a big deal to him, He wouldn't have stressed this to the extent as He does in the bible.  Love is all throughout the bible.  Remember, Jesus demonstrated it for us!  God really wants us to get this love thing right!

It doesn't mean you have to become a doormat to various situations;  it just means you have to deal with situations with the love of Jesus.  Even if it means you have to love them from a distance.  God just wants your all;  that's all.  I sit here and I can just picture Him standing at a distance, with puppy dog eyes of love, with His arms stretched out to us.....just patiently waiting, in hopes that you would come or even come back to Him.  That look of "ain't no way for me to love you, if you won't let me; ain't no way for me to give you all you need, if you won't let me give all of Me."  With God, it's all or nothing!  So, with that being said, are you ALL in;  or will you walk away?  Because He never walks from us; we walk away from Him.  And He patiently waits for us to return to Him.  Don't wait until night time catches you, when you still have daylight.
