"WAITING ON GOD"

Isaiah 40:31   "but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint."

Have you ever noticed when we are trying to get our grass to turn green by dropping grass seeds, fertilizer and then watering it, that it tends to grow sporadically; like in certain spots or even patches of grass?  But, when it rains whether constantly or for a few minutes or hours, that the grass like grows overnight and it's a really pretty green color?

I always say when man has their hands in it, that nothing will ever develop to its fullness, no matter what the "it" is.  But when God does it, it will develop to the fullest level of excellence!  I was sitting in my kitchen this morning while having my coffee,  just gazing out the window at the grass in the backyard, thinking "look at how green this grass is."  Now when watering the grass with the water coming from the hose, we have to wait days and sometimes weeks to see any major changes.  But when God waters it with His tears flowing from the sky, the grass tends to grow greener like instantly!

That's just like life; when man tries to do things on his own, it will never flourish to its fullest potential.  But when you give it over to God, and I mean EVERYTHING and allow Him to do what He does, you CAN expect nothing but excellence and greatness in a major way!  Pure excellence because that is what He majors in!!!  The key to this is to pray once you've turned it over to Him...and patiently wait with expectancy that He will do what He said He will do!

 

Unfortunately, like most people we do horrible in waiting...patiently!  We want that "microwave" result!  We want it now!  But everything is in timing; not yours, but God's timing.  Remember, everything He does is always on time!  With that being said.....wait on the Lord.....He is a God that cannot lie....He is a God that cannot fail!  There's a blessing in obedience so wait...I say wait on the Lord‼️
